Digital Threat Assessment Workshop Scheduled for September 2019

(Aug. 1, 2019) One way we can work to keep our schools safe is by protecting against digital threats. The clear majority of recent school violence attacks have had precursors leaked online in the form of social media posts. Knowing where, how, and when to look for this critical information is the task at hand. There are simple and free online tools and techniques that all those responsible for ensuring the safety in your schools need to be using on a regular basis.

DCJ Announces Estimated $15 Million in Grant Funding to Serve Crime Victims

(May 29, 2019) The Office for Victims Programs (OVP), a unit of the Division of Criminal Justice within the Colorado Department of Public Safety, announces the availability of an estimated $15 million in federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Program funds for the implementation of the Extraordinary VOCA Funding Opportunity.
 
The grant announcement, application, instructions, and attachments will be released on Monday, June 3, and all applications must be submitted via ZoomGrants by 5 p.m.

Colorado State Patrol introduces #HiddenScars video series for National Traffic Incident Response Awareness Week

(Nov. 13, 2018) On Tuesday November 13, the Colorado State Patrol introduced a new video series entitled "#HiddenScars" on their social media channels in conjunction with the National Traffic Incident Response Awareness Week. The videos feature a new responder each Tuesday, and explore how incidents and tragedies go far beyond the victims involved. These scars can continue to haunt responders never allowing them to be able to let go of what they have experienced while on the job.

CSP, NHTSA & CDOT Launch "If You Feel Different, You Drive Different" Campaign

(Oct. 9, 2018) -- Today, officials from CDOT, the Colorado State Patrol (CSP), the Colorado Task Force on Drunk and Impaired Drivingand the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) joined together to spread the word about the dangers of drug-impaired driving, and to remind all drivers that if they are impaired they must pass their keys on to a sober driver.

(Sept. 25, 2018) Positive, critical, or anything in between, the Colorado State Patrol wants to hear from you. Starting September 24 and going until November 6, the CSP is holding a public opinion survey and asking people to tell us how they really feel.
