Internships

Our internship programs provide students with a unique opportunity to apply classroom skills and theory to real life work situations. Internships are unpaid positions. Benefits include university credit, practical work experience, state training, and networking opportunities.

• Colorado Bureau of Investigation Forensic Lab-Pueblo and Denver-Summer internship
  • Candidates must be pursuing a natural science degree at an accredited university at either a junior or senior class level.
  • Time commitment: about 12-20 hours per week.
  • Runs from June through August each year.

• Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Investigations Section - 3-12 months unpaid internship
  • Runs Spring, Summer, & Fall semesters
  • Time commitment: Typically 8-20 hours per week
  • Location: Denver, Grand Junction, and Pueblo regional offices

• Colorado Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ) - DCJ has internships year round in: victim services, research and statistics, missing and murdered Indigenous relatives, adult and juvenile justice assistance, domestic violence and sex offender management, community corrections, marketing and communications.
  • The internship must be taken as college credit
  • Time commitment: 15 to 20 hours per week
  • Runs year round
