Rulemaking Hearing: Catalytic Converter Identification and Theft Prevention Grant Program, 8 CCR 1507-59

The Colorado State Patrol's Colorado Automobile Theft Prevention Authority (CATPA) Unit will hold a virtual rulemaking hearing regarding new proposed rules to support the Catalytic Converter Identification and Theft Prevention Grant Program, 8 CCR 1507-59, on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 9 am.

The State Patrol seeks to adopt rules necessary to support the effective management and administration of the Catalytic Converter Identification and Theft Prevention Grant Program created by §24-33.5-230 (1), CRS.  The State Patrol is proposing the adoption of rules:
 

  • To acknowledge the statutory responsibility of the Colorado State Patrol and the assignment of the Catalytic Converter Identification and Theft Prevention Grant Program to the CATPA Business Unit of the Colorado State Patrol as a division of the Colorado Department of Public Safety;
  • To effect rules specifying the grant application process, including application requirements and deadlines for the submission and issue of grant awards;
  • To specify the criteria for grant applicant eligibility, award selection, and grant award determination;
  • To establish reporting requirements applicable to the recipients of grant awards issued through the Catalytic Converter Identification and Theft Prevention Grant Program; and
  • To identify resources supporting the Catalytic Converter Identification and Theft Prevention Grant Program.
