(Oct. 8, 2016) The CBI conducted a critical incident training session in partnership with the Colorado State Patrol at the Grand Junction Regional Office (2797 Justice Drive) on Friday, October 7, 2016.

For nearly a decade, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Grand Junction Regional Office has provided critical incident training for hundreds of law enforcement personnel through the training simulator. The system offers Colorado law enforcement officials access to real-time scenarios to hone their decision-making skills during critical incidents.

The 300-degree wraparound simulator is life-sized, and enables officers to receive virtual reality training involving the most difficult circumstances while maintaining situational awareness during times of extreme stress.

The CBI Grand Junction Regional Office provides access to its training simulator to state and federal agencies and local enforcement partners at no charge.

Purchased in 2008, the system cost $150,000.
